Why they suck
Some time ago, I purchased software for Snapstream Media's computer DVR system that was Godzilla supposed to let me record TV from my computer. I hooked the system up but there was a latency between the sound and the picture- sort of like one of those old Japanese movies where the people's mouths moved, then a few seconds later the voice came through- as nostalgically entertaining as this was, I preferred to have the audio and visual sync properly. So I contacted Snapstream- what a mess. Their tech people usually responded only after a week of my begging them to answer my questions. They send some really geeky kind of instructions that I had to have a software coder interpret- he was also shocked at the complexity for something that was supposed to be a consumer product- worse their fix just didn't work. I wrote back and got a half-assed response asking for my hardware configuration which I sent them. The wrote back and said everything should be ok and the system should be working- wow, what a response, that really helped- except the system was still out of sync. I wrote back and the just ignored me- I wrote seveal most messages with no response from SnapStream. FInally I demanded my money back, but once again- no response, Their approach was to just write me off and a

My suggestions to Snapstream Media Beyond TV
They could crawl into the woods like the sick dogs they are and die- or maybe try a bit of customer support training!

My solutions / alternatives to fellow ranters
DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT- stick with a Tivo or someother brand- dealing with people who screw their customers will only lead to heartache and problems. Stay away from anything that says snapstream on it
